Organizing Your Lesson Plans

I know many of you are already in summer mode and thinking about next year.
One of my projects is to organize my monthly binders.
This is a project I have been working on all year long and I still have some work to do inside the binders.

I have had my materials in binders for years.
My biggest problem is refiling everything during the summer.  I spend hours sorting and refiling tons of worksheets.

Some of my binders do not even have covers, just worksheets of something that is in the binders.

However, I took a few minutes this weekend to make some covers for my binders AND

some matching side labels.  Now that looks awesome on my book shelf.

Inside the binders I have these pocket dividers with all my copies for the week.  I put them right back in the pocket and no more refiling.

Each week I have an outline for the week, this is helpful to me when I am typing up my class website.

Then I have my lesson plans.  All of this is saved on my laptop so next year I hopefully will just need to tweak things a bit.
I like to put pictures of the books I am reading because I don't have time to read every little note.  I like the visual reminders.

If you would like a copy of my monthly binder covers  click here
This is for sale and I am donating all proceeds from this product to a good cause, JDRF!

  1. I love the idea of having a binder for each month instead of one huge lesson plan binder! I know what I'm going to be working on now...thanks for sharing!
