Transition Song

This is my favorite finger play for transitions.  I use this one constantly and it is a good.  It helps to settle the children down for story time.

Open Them, Close Them

Open them, close them;
Open them, close them;
Give a little clap.
Open them, close them;
Open them; close them;
Now fold them in your lap.

  1. Oh my gosh- I sing a song just like this with my kids-the words aren't exactly the same-but pretty close! Can't remember where I learned it-but it works like magic with my kinders :)
