Writing Checklist for Students

Today I created the last thing I will be putting in my students' writing folders.  It is a Writing Checklist.  I want my students to go through the list and think about their writing before coming up to me for a conference. 

I plan on using this sheet as I conference with each student as well.  I am also going to change my writing rubric so it is similar to this as well. 

My goal is to get my first graders to do some self assessing.
