Pumpkin
Estimation Jar
I
love having pumpkin candy in my estimation jar.
It is my first item of the year and I find it funny at my little ones
guesses. It is their first time making estimation
and they are all over the place.
I
put ten pumpkins in a ten frame to give them a reference, but I will still have
some children guess fewer than 10 pumpkins.
I
have a recording sheet with the students’ first names on it. I like this format because I can keep track
of who needs to make a guess and I have documentation that I can easily refer
to when I do assessments.
