I love teaching! I even
love cleaning and setting up the classroom. However, I have to be honest, I hate heat, working
in 92 degrees weather in a hot and sticky classroom is not so much fun. Drinking warm water, not so tasty. But I did make it through the whole day until
3 o’clock. I wish I had taken a picture,
of my accomplishment. I mainly washed
and hung up some new border and pocket charts.
I stopped for a reward on the way home :)
I learned a couple of weeks ago that I really like the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher. What was your reward?

No AC for your room, right? That's how we start as well. I bring a standing fan and a frozen water bottle to get me through the first days. And since I usually go in a week or so before my contract says I must be there, I make my own flexible schedule to get back in the swing of things. I always take an hour for lunch off campus with whichever coworkers are working and in need of a break. Our schedules, even in the same grade, don't allow us to have lunch together during the school year. We usually go to our favorite sandwich place that is next door to our favorite frozen yogurt place. YUM!! Going back to the classroom and being productive can be a challenge, but it's nice to have time to ease back into work.
