Poetry Box

When I taught first grade I had a poetry box in my classroom in the reading center.  When I was organizing my book bins for Daily Five I thought, why not have the kindergarteners have a poetry notebook and a poetry basket to review the poem introduced during Calendar Time.

So I typed up the poems that we read during September.  I have the poems in color for the poetry box and black and white for student copies.  (I know it looks a bit funny on here but it does download correctly.)



I made a sign for the Poetry Basket using a font from Lettering Delights called Funky Chicken.
